The VSS - Nervous Circuits

1997. Featuring Sonny Kay, ex-member of Year Future and Angel Hair, as well as founder of the now defunct Gold Standard Laboratories, The VSS' Nervous Circuits is a shining example of what some would consider calling "noise punk." Released 12 years ago and out of print for a majority of that time, Hydrahead re-released this last year in a pretty fancy package with a DVD of live footage. Awesome fucking album, check it out.

Quasimoto- Astronaut EP

A short follow-up to the first album, The Astronaut EP is as bare (not in a bad way all) as The Unseen by keeping faithful to more traditional hip-hop beats. It's only three short songs and third is an instrumental. Crude Prototype.

A1 Astronaut
A2 Am I Confused?
A3 Lonely Piano

Truckasaurus - Tea Parties, Guns, and Valor

Seattle duo Truckaurus comes correct as fuck with ragin' 8-bit gameboy beatz that are still on the cleaner side of production, yet gritty where it counts; plus they mack the 808 ruthlessly (no ruth involved whatsoever). track 6 is my favorite.

Stop It!! - Self Made Maps

2003. 9 Tracks from Richmond, Virgina's short-lived but revered post-hardcore outfit, Self Made Maps showcases a band that had the potential to melt away the faces of school children everywhere. But instead of faceless children, we are left with only this awesome LP and a Demo that comes just as highly recommended.

From the Robotic Empire Website:
The debut full-length from Richmond, VA's STOP IT!! is an undeniably catchy take on dark rock music. Ranging from harsh and frantic to melodic and stoned-out, this CD shows a raw young band with multiple personalities, all overlaid with shouted vocals and the occasional burst of beautiful harmonies. A fantastically detailed cut-and-pasted layout is housed in a paperboard pack accompanied by a 12-page booklet and perfectly reflects the urgency of this inspiring music. Members of Stop It!! came from ex-City of Caterpillar and Municipal Waste, and then went on to form/join Brainworms, Cloak/Dagger, Pink Razors and more.
